You panted slightly, your eyes narrowed dangerously, your eyes never leaving his steely grey ones. Broken vases and torn book strewn across the darkly light room; the door closed and locked. From the outside, the protests and cries of staff could be heard as they scattered to find a way into the room.
“I’m leaving Akito, for good this time. I am so sick and tired of the bullshit. You are a grown fucking adult and you act like a child.” You panted, trying your best to conceal the tears that had wanted to fall from your eyes.
“Go ahead and try, I will drag you back here by your hair if need be.” He said in a calm tone. You scoffed.
To be honest, you hadn’t the foggiest idea as to what you were fighting about, or how it escalated this fast. Nevertheless, all you knew was that you had to leave, now, for your own sake.
“Yuki was right,” you hissed. “I should have done this years ago.” You turned, but before your hand could touch the knob,he had took your wrist firmly and pulled you back. Letting out a yelp of surprise and pain, you snapped around with speed you didn’t know you possessed. Your fist balled up instinctively and you swung before you could even thing about what you were doing. However, luckily Akito had managed to block you, catching your other hand.
“God I hate you!” You screamed as the tears you tried so hard to conceal began to fall. “ I hate you so much! Why can’t you just let me leave?”
Akito just stared at you apathetically, but deep down, your words had been like daggers. They dug deep and hurt worse than anything anyone had ever said to him. After a few minutes your breath evened out, your head hung in fear and anger.
“You piss me off,” You whispered as your legs gave out and you collapsed from sheer exhaustion. Akito slowly fell with you, but never let you go. “I can’t stand it anymore. You’re like a fucking drug. No matter how much you use me, no matter how much you abuse me, I fucking hate that I still love you…” you murmured softly, your reserve weakening with every second that passed. Akito’s eyes widened ever so slightly at your confession. You looked up, your (colored) eyes pleading. “Cant I just hate you for a while…?”
Akito sighed as his eyes averted from yours and his grip on your arms loosened. “Your no picnic either… you upset me. More than anyone in the world…”
You couldn’t help but look up at him. For some reason his words had eased your aching heart, if only for a moment. In that moment, although you were unsure, you pulled your wrists from his grasp. He looked at you, his eyes widened only for a moment as you leaned forward, and before he knew it, your lips fell upon his. At first, he wanted to push you away, but for some unknown reason he didn’t.
You squeezed your eyes shut, your arms wrapping around his neck. Slowly, Akito’s eyes drifted shut, and his arms wrapped themselves around you. You felt so small, so broken within his grasp.
You couldn’t help it when more tears began to fall down your cheeks as Akito’s fingers entangled themselves within your (color) locks; digging slightly into the back of your scalp. He kissed you back, his lips moving over yours in a heated plea. His kiss was desperate and needing, something that you had never seen from him before. And no matter how much you wanted to hold on to your hate, your loathing for him, you could feel all of it dissipating with every moment.
It was when you leaned forward intentionally deepening the kiss and fighting him for control that Akito realized that as much as he hated to admit it, everything; every word, every mean act he could ever do; he would never be able to let you go. He didn’t want to fight it anymore. He despised the fact, that no matter how much he said he hated you, he had adored you even more.
You pushed him back ever so, and although he resisted at first (always having to be in control) you had managed to lay him down flush on his back. It was then that the need for air overcame you and you pulled back, light puffs of air escaping your lips. Your (length) (color) hair fell loosely around your face, framing it beautifully. Your lips were red, swollen, and slightly sore, but you couldn’t help smiling just a tiny bit.
As you leaned over the fragile man below you, your balled up hands resting on either side of his head, you knew that no matter how much you hated it, you loved him. And no matter how much you couldn’t stand him, you needed him more than anyone else in the world.
You couldn’t help the small laugh as you sat back, resting on the heels of your feet. Akito just stared up at you wordlessly as you rubbed the tears from your eyes. Akito just watched you, a light blush streaking his cheeks. It was then that the door slid open, causing Akito to dump you off his lap, and the thoroughly confused look on Hatori’s face, that made you completely loose it. Your laughter was deep, and from the heart. Something you hadn’t done in a long time. Hatori just stared from you, to Akito, and back before he let out a heavy sigh.
“Hatori, leave.” Akito demanded, his eyes never leaving your face. Hatori only hesitated for a moment, before turning and leaving; sliding the door closed behind him. It was only after Akito was sure that Hatori was out of earshot that he began to laugh. It was low at first, but grew with the passing seconds. Your laughter died down, and you couldn’t help the smile that crossed your face. It wasn’t until he had stopped laughing, and your eyes met once again that you knew for sure.
As much as you both hated it, you were hopelessly in love.
